Our history traces back to the enterprising Henry Fehr of Eglisau, Switzerland who in 1857 moved his family and growing tallow business to London. The Baltic (Mercantile and Shipping) Exchange of which the family are still members, created an opportunity for traders to connect and business developed.

1949 saw the establishment of Fehr Bros USA and in the 70’s our move from NYC to the beautiful Hudson Valley region of Saugerties NY.

The company’s most valued and appreciated element is its team. Our team has 548 years at Fehr between us and counting!
