  • Fuzzy Filter

The Fuzzy Filter® is an innovative and cost effective filter. The filter is very high-rate, compact, modular, and applicable to a wide variety of water and wastewater applications. The filter uses a nominal 30” deep media bed comprised of individual 1.25” diameter compressible synthetic fiber spheres, and achieves a high rate of solids removal down to 4 microns. The total porosity of the filter bed can be mechanically altered to suit influent characteristics by mechanically compressing the media. The operator can now adjust media porosity to suit his influent characteristics – and he can do so with the push of a button. The media porosity and solids removal can be optimized to maximize solids capture and run time. The filter uses influent water to wash. By utilizing violent air scour in conjunction with positive media retention, the filter media cleans easily with very little wash water, and without media loss.

  • CleanScreens Bar Screen

The Schreiber Bar Screen utilizes an endless chain running on UHMW polymeric guides in a geometric configuration for precise travel of the rake arm. It performs a complete job of removing screenings from the wastewater and then placing the screenings into a container for disposal. The rake engages the bars of the screen at the bottom of the channel and from the down-stream side to prevent the potential for jamming of the rake. Automatic operation of the unit is controlled by a float switch and timer. Additionally, the entire mechanism is located above water level for ease of service without dewatering.

  • CleanScreens Fine Screen

The Schreiber Fine Screen is driven by a brushless motor that is approved for use in Class I, Division II areas per NEC. The unit is composed of a stationary grid and a movable grid. The bars of the movable grid are located between the bars of the stationary grid in an alternating fashion. The screenings are conveyed upward in a stepwise manner along the bars of the stationary grid, which prevents the forcing of screenings through the screen. Screenings are discharged at the top of the screen in a self cleaning motion, thereby eliminating the need for other supplemental cleaning devices. The Fine Screen has no anchor points below the waterline and the screen itself is designed to swing out of the channel for access and ease of maintenance. For washing and compacting of the screenings after capture, the Schreiber washer/compactor is an excellent complement to the fine screen.

  • CSR Aeration

The Schreiber Continuously Sequencing Reactor, or CSR, is a Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) system contained in a single basin. It produces the 3 process phases required for BNR – oxic, anoxic and anaerobic – in one basin. The 3 phases do not occur at the same time in the basin. They occur sequentially – repetitively, over time. During the oxic phase, the entire basin is oxic or aerobic. When the air is turned off, the entire basin becomes anoxic and then ultimately anaerobic. The air is then turned back on and the cycle repeats.

  • CSR Diffusers

SchreiberFLEX membrane air diffusers feature a unique, patented design for fine bubble aeration. The diffuser assembly consists of two 30” long tubular membranes and a patented threaded connector for easy installation and fewer maintenance concerns. The flexible membrane features an air slit pattern design, providing optimal oxygen transfer efficiency. SchreiberFLEX diffusers are unmatched in strength, with a moment capacity of 340 foot pounds. The diffusers are advantageous for installation in new facilities or as replacements in existing systems.

  • Screw Pumps

Schreiber’s Screw Pumps are manufactured in two types, Open Flight Screw Pump and Tube Mounted Screw Pump (available in variable angle and stationary angle). The Open Flight Screw Pump is a traditional Archimedes, with a design concept that dates back over 2,000 years. The Tube Mounted Screw Pump is a variation of the Archimedes screw pump inserted in a steel tube (pipe). The Tube Mounted Screw Pump is a self contained unit and does not require the detailed structure forming and grouting as an open flight screw pump.
