  • GCRTech TRI-T

    The TRI-T range of data loggers use a new data logging architecture that allows the user to monitor pressure input in terms of average values based on typical logging rates plus minimum/ maximum values based on fast sampling rates down to 10 samples/second. TRI-T transient logger can also detect and log pressure surge data up to 1000 readings per second without interfering with the main recordings.

    During threshold logging, the logger checks the pressure signal against the threshold settings 10 times per second and once triggered starts logging data at one of the configured log rate of 10Hz, 20Hz, 100Hz or 1KHz.

    Pressure surges are logged and surge data plus the slow logged data is sent via cellular communication for the GTRI-T model or downloaded manually using the USB to IrDA communications cable for the portable display model TRID-T.

    Pressure management and control in water distribution systems is a proven technique for reducing leakage and the frequency of bursts. Normally, a PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) is set to a fixed outlet pressure to ensure a guaranteed minimum pressure to the critical point in the network during maximum flow conditions.

    Pressure management using PRV controllers enables pressure to be optimized with changing demand. Excess pressure from lower friction losses during low demand periods is reduced, lowering flows from background leakage and reducing pipe stresses & bursts to extend asset life.     The CorTalk RMU1-ER collects and transmits a measurement of the corrosion rate near the pipe surface through the use of sacrificial electrical resistance (ER) probes as frequently as every few hours via satellite or cellular network. This provides technicians with highly detailed, near real-time measurement data that is useful in determining the underlying cause of corrosion and the ability to measure changes in corrosion conditions including the effectiveness of repairs, temperature cycles or sudden environmental changes.
