Anaerobic co-digestion and co-location is expected to have a dynamic role in renewable energy generation, providing economic and environmental benefits. Veolia is currently partnering with the University Area Joint Authority (UAJA) and RETTEW, supplying the first Biological Hydrolysis 6-Pack system in North America to produce renewable natural gas from Municipal Biosolids and Food Waste at a co-located facility. Veolia and our client, RETTEW, will provide a project overview and review the Biological Hydrolysis 6-Pack System, BioCon and Ecrusor technologies along with other Veolia technologies that will optimize the digestion process at the facility. With this project complete, UAJA is now a regional biosolids and food waste facility capable of producing renewable natural gas as well as Class A product for land application.
