Patsy has 17+ years’ experience in water microbiology, water-related regulations, consensus standards development, and environmental laboratory accreditation. She works with several state legislative offices and industry organizations to develop sensible laws, regulations, and guidance to protect public health and ensure safe water. Patsy is also a long-time participant in various standards development organizations including TNI, Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, and ASHRAE. She is the author of Microbiological Water Methods; Quality Control Measures for Federal Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act Regulatory Compliance.


Shawn Dubois
Shawn Dubois

Senior Scientist, IDEXX Water

Shawn Dubois is a senior scientist with IDEXX Laboratories. He has been a part of the IDEXX Water business for over 20 years working in research and development and in his current role managing the product support group for North America. In addition, Shawn manages the ISO 17025:2017 accreditation for the Water Quality Control lab and is a participant in several standards development organizations including Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater.
