Pia has been with Veolia Water Technologies for 30 years. She moved from Denmark to the US in 2009, where she has worked for Veolia Water Technologies in Cary, NC for the last 14 years. She has worked across multiple product lines as a R&D Engineer and Process Engineer and is now a Senior Process Engineer for Veolia’s activated Sludge and Fixed film Technologies.

NCWRF Manager, Cary Utilities

Jonathan has been with the Town of Cary for 20 years. He has a background in laboratory analysis and biological nutrient removal operations where he discovered the satisfaction of process improvement and treatment optimization. Currently, he is the manager of the North Cary WRF where he and his team have developed an “optimization mindset” challenging themselves crush their permit limits while conserving energy along the way.
